◉ Jigworks Join Waitlist

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

This policy explains what happens to the email address you give us when you join the Jigworks waitlist. We have deliberately kept both the data we collect and this policy short.

Who is responsible for your data

Teagan Lyonnais, operating as Jigworks ("we"), is the data controller for the information described here. Jigworks is not currently a registered company; this page will be updated if that changes.

Postal address: 65 Skyhills Rd, Huntsville, ON P1H 2N5, Canada
Contact: [email protected]

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store:

  • the email address you enter;
  • the date and time you joined;
  • a record of which version of the consent wording was shown to you when you signed up.

That is all. We do not ask for your name or any other detail, and the site uses no advertising or analytics cookies.

To stop automated abuse of the signup form, our server briefly holds your IP address in memory to count recent submissions. It is never written to disk, never stored alongside your email address, and is discarded within minutes.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your email address for one purpose: to email you about the Jigworks launch and early access. We do not use it for anything else.

We operate from Ontario, Canada, so our handling of your information is governed by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Our basis for holding and using your address is your consent, which you gave by submitting the waitlist form after being told what you were signing up for. We keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to.

The emails we send are commercial electronic messages under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We send them only with your express consent, we identify ourselves and give a postal address in every message, and every message carries a working unsubscribe link that we action promptly.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK/EU GDPR also applies to you. Our lawful basis there is likewise your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.

We will not sell, rent, or share your email address with advertisers.

Who else processes it

We use Kit (Kit.com, Inc.) to store the waitlist and send our emails. Kit acts as our processor and handles your address on our instructions. Kit is based in the United States, so your address is stored and processed outside Canada, and is subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access requests by US authorities. That transfer relies on the safeguards described in Kit's privacy policy and its data processing terms.

Our site is hosted by Render, which processes standard server logs on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after the waitlist closes, whichever comes first. After that it is deleted.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, how we have used it, and who we have shared it with; you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong; and you can withdraw your consent at any time. In practice, for a waitlist, that means:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • have your information deleted;
  • withdraw your consent and stop receiving our email.

If the UK/EU GDPR applies to you, you additionally have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, and to receive it in a portable format.

The quickest way to exercise most of these is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, which removes you from the list entirely. For anything else, email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you think we have mishandled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in the UK or EEA, you may instead complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you by email.
